Halloween Horror Nights Marks 25 Years With More Nights and More Scares

It might only be March, but I’m already counting down the days until Halloween. Fall is my favorite time of year with pumpkin spice lattes, cool crisp air and my favorite event of all time… Halloween Horror Nights!

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is celebrating its 25th year this fall with more event nights and even more scares than EVER before. And starting today, you can book a special package to experience it all.

Do you think you have what it takes to survive 25?

During the day, Universal Orlando Resort offers some of pop culture’s most iconic and beloved stories.

But there’s another, darker side to Universal Orlando.

Halloween Horror Nights 1

Halloween Horror Nights is the ultimate Halloween event, attracting people from around the world. From the moment you step inside the event’s gates, you become a victim inside your very own horror film. The streets of Universal Studios Florida are transformed into highly-themed scare zones, brought to life with elaborate scenery and teams of menacing “scare-actors” lunging from the shadows and hunting you as prey.

You can brave multiple haunted houses throughout the theme park, as detailed and terrifying as movie sets. Make your way through an unpredictable, multi-sensory labyrinth based on anything from iconic slasher films to hit horror video games to haunting original stories created by Universal’s Entertainment team.

Hear more about the event in the video below with Michael Aiello, Director of Entertainment–Creative Development for Halloween Horror Nights.

This fall, Halloween Horror Nights will mark its 25th year running with a record-breaking 30 event nights. Event dates include:

  • Sept. 18-19, 24-25, 26-27
  • Oct. 1-4, 7-11, 14-18, 21-25, 28-31
  • Nov. 1

You can now be among the first to book the newly-announced Halloween Horror Nights 25 Hotel & Ticket Package that combines the excitement of Universal Orlando’s two theme parks by day with the heart-pumping horror of Halloween Horror Nights by night.

I am super pumped for this! I can’t wait! #HHN25

It’s almost impossible to describe how good Halloween Horror Nights is!
Every year gets better (or worse LOL, depending if you are scared witless like we always are!)

This will be my sixth HHN event and I am so excited! I look forward to it every year and the houses are always PHENOMINAL! However, I am hoping that this year there will be a house by the Harry Potter section because that part of the park has been absolutely silent and removed from the rest of the action the past few years. It doesn’t even feel like a Halloween Horror Nights night over there. Also, when there used to be one around the Jaws section the crowds seemed to spread out more and help with the congestion around the Rip Ride Rocket area. It would be super exciting to see a house back over there this year! Also, the scare zones last year and the year before were slightly lacking and hopefully this year, since they are a major reason that this event is such a blast, the scare zones will have more scare actors and like with the houses, are spread out more. Some of my best HHN memories are from the scare zones so it was disappointing these past few years. But regardless, HHN is probably my favorite event of the entire year and hopefully I’ll be going twice this year. Can’t wait to find out the theme for 25! Hopefully it’s something super unique and exciting like HHN 20!! Can’t wait and keep us updated!

i want to see a poltergeist house, an insidious house, a mutant dinosaur house or scare zone, a evil robot cyborg based scare zone, a sinister based house, a Frankenstein house, a paranormal activity based house, a dark Christmas based house featuring a insane jack frost or yeti like monster, a Friday the 13th house, a purge themed scare zone, and jack the clown returns but he brings back old and new horror icons.

I agree with the insidious and poltergeist house ideas! If this year is going to be like HHN 20 I’d love to see another psychoscarapy house! Hopefully you all come out with some awesome originals like the Dollhouse of the Damned from last year! The walking dead scare zones, purge zone, and the acid zone from a few years ago were my favorites! Thank you Universal for creating an event that truly makes my whole year!

I love the idea about having more nights. I wish they had 30 nights every year! My family and I are addicted to Halloween Horror Nights and, especially, the Rocky Horror Picture Show tribute. We really enjoy all the houses and scare areas but this awesome show is our favorite part. The performers and music are excellent. We have never seen a better RHPS tribute anywhere, including New York. Please keep the show a part of HHN for many years to come! It adds so much energy and fun.

My husband and I are coming to Florida on Sept 28-Oct 6. I’ve been trying to find out when tix will go on sale for HHN25 to buy online. We want to attend the event and need to plan our vacation. Any idea when the tix will be available for those not in Florida?

We are visiting from the UK in September this year. Our last night is 18th and we would love to come to the Universal Halloween Horror Night. Can anyone tell me when the tickets will be available for one night entry to UK residents.

    Many Thanks

  16. mike

Is the “Walking Dead” going to be there this year/ last year was such a disappointment as there were no walking zombies in the streets. I only go for the Walking Dead. Also, I felt really rushed or pushed through each attraction last year. Didn’t even have time to enjoys my screams. 🙁

  18. Jarod Del Campillo

Hi guys, Jarod here, I’m a huge fan of HHN Orlando and wanted to make a suggestion for a possible haunted house or scare zone, it should honestly be Final Destination Themed. If you like the suggestion, feel free to email at any time.

    Thank you,
