6 Tips for Visiting Universal Orlando Resort During the Holidays

Holidays at Universal Orlando

Are you ready for an unforgettable holiday at Universal Orlando Resort? A lot of people are, which makes this one of our most popular times of the year.

To help you make the most of your time here, I’ve got a few tips and tricks to help you out. So, put on your best holiday theme park outfit and prepare for the Holidays!

Top 6 Tips

  1. Download the Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App
With the FREE mobile app, you can check wait times for rides and even set up an alert to notify you when an attraction posts a wait time you’ve set. You’ll also find times for all the holiday shows and parade.
Download the official Universal Orlando Resort app for iPhone and Andriod.
  2. Arrive Early
Arrive as soon as the front gates open to ensure you get as much time as possible to experience all the holiday excitement. Once in the parks, catch the holiday shows early in the day. Get there about 30 minutes before show time to get the best seats in the house.
If you’re an on-site hotel guest, make sure to take advantage of your early park admission benefit. Plus, you can always head back to the hotel in the afternoon for some R&R, then make your way back to the parks for the evening activities.
  3. Making Your Way Around the Theme Parks
Make your first stop Universal Islands of Adventure in the morning to catch the holiday show, then make your way to Universal Studios for the holiday parade in the afternoon.
When you enter Universal Islands of Adventure, head left first. Most people go right when they arrive, so change it up! When heading in to Universal Studios, stroll towards the back of the park and work your way forward.
Naturally, restaurants are most popular around lunchtime. Try this: start with a late breakfast (I love to stop by the Croissant Moon Bakery at Port of Entry in Islands of Adventure), stick to the rides during midday, and hit lunch around 3pm!
  4. Purchase a Park-to-Park Admission Ticket
Enjoy all the holiday activities in both theme parks by purchasing a park-to-park admission ticket. Come and go in both parks, whenever you’d like, to enjoy our most popular attractions. It makes it easier to plan your day and experience everything Universal Orlando Resort has to offer.
  5. Be in the Holiday Parade
Starting around 5:30pm, head to the check-in table near E.T. Adventure to inquire about being a balloon handler in the daily holiday parade. It’s a truly unique experience that you can brag to all your friends about—and it makes for great photos. Show everyone how fun your #UniversalHolidays were!

My wife and I are 70 years old and want to visit the Harry Potter theme area. Which park is that?

    Thanks
