True love is not normally the first thing that comes to my mind when someone mentions Mardi Gras. Beads? Yes. Beignets? Sure. True love? Not really.

But then I heard Jason and Jennifer Cornwell’s story, and the Bourbon Street bash I used to synonymize with creole food and catchy Zydeco tunes suddenly adopted a much more romantic quality.

It all began 14 years ago when two strangers met on a float in Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras parade. The rest, as they say, is history. We caught up with Jason and Jennifer as they celebrated their 10 year anniversary at the place where it all began.
