Celebrate July 4th at Universal Studios Florida with 3 Days of Fun

Share this post:

It’s the Fourth of July and we’re celebrating with three days of star-spangled awesomeness.

From July 4th–6th, Universal Studios Florida will feature special entertainment to celebrate Independence Day. The Music Plaza will feature award-winning DJ M-Squared spinning top hits along with a live performance by the high-energy band, Raydio. Make sure you have your camera ready—stilt walkers and your favorite Universal characters will be dancing right alongside you.

Hungry but don’t want to leave the action? We’ve got you covered. For this event only, you’ll be able to get food and beverages delivered straight to the Music Plaza from Universal Studios’ Classic Monster Cafe. Your favorite summertime cravings will be available including smoked ribs, brisket sandwiches, mac n’ cheese, peach cobbler, and more. Be sure to Download The Official Universal Orlando Resort App before your visit.

The celebration doesn’t stop there. All of your favorite Universal Studios attractions will be open for you to enjoy (I’ll be on Men in Black: Alien Attack trying to max out my score.)

But no matter how much fun you’re having stuffing your face with mac n’ cheese or dancing your heart out with your favorite characters, Fourth of July really means one thing: pyrotechnics. Don’t worry about having to trek across the park to see the show—they’ll be right in the middle of the action. Well, not in the action—more like above it. Feast your eyes on a breathtaking pyrotechnics display with confetti cannons in the sky over the Music Plaza starting at 9 p.m., followed by Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration at 9:45 p.m in Central Park.

The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. at the Music Plaza and will continue until when the park closes at 10 p.m. Access to the celebration is included in admission to Universal Studios Florida or with a park-to-park ticket.

Music Plaza Events:

  • Live Music featuring Raydio: 5 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 8:15 p.m.
  • DJ M-Squared: 5:45 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9 p.m.
  • Character Dance Party: 6:15 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Pyrotechnic Display: 9 p.m.

Central Park Events:

Passholders, don’t forget to check your summer blockout dates before coming to the parks.
*Valet discount not valid on EVE at Universal CityWalk™, Mardi Gras concert nights, 4th of July and Halloween Horror Nights™ event nights. Full price applies on event days after 7pm.

So put on your red, white and blues, and get ready for an action-packed celebration. Bring your appetite for food and fun—it’s all waiting for you at Universal’s independence day celebration.

I wonder what characters will be present during the Dance Party. Just thinking about them excited me!

  2. Rodrigo R.

Yeah it would have been great if more than 70% of the rides weren’t shut down due to weather. The hulk is shut down entirely. I want a refund! >:(

The crappiest fireworks I have ever seen. The only lasted 3 minutes.

    • Hello Heather, I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy our Pyrotechnic Display. I will be sure to document your feedback about this experience.
