Haunted houses filled with maniacal mazes that lead you deeper and deeper into the heart of darkness. Creatures crawling, climbing, clawing around every corner.

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is home to twistedly immersive haunted houses and nightmarish scare zones where grotesque creatures and monsters lurk at every turn.

Whatever you do on this adventure into the night, make sure you don’t go hungry. Feed that monster inside by seeking out the Scareactor Dining Experience. Your soul will thank you for it.

Guests who plan to attend the night’s festivities can purchase special tickets for the Halloween Horror Nights Scareactor Dining Experience, an all-you-care-to-eat dinner buffet at Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe. The dining experience features surprise guests from the after world, all chomping at the bit to meet you as you indulge in sinful gluttony.

To check-in for the Scareactor Dining Experience, head over to the Blue Man Group entrance before the scheduled check-in time in order to be escorted into Universal Studios Florida.

Once inside, queue up for a devilishly delightful meal consisting of dishes like sliced pork loin, baked codfish, hand-sliced roasted New York strip steak, and chicken marsala, to name a few.

My personal favorites of the belly-busting meal included the beef medallions, which were both tender and flavorful, as well as the fresh four-cheese cavatappi pasta—hot and savory with just the right amount of cheesy goodness and chopped ham.

Dessert rounds up the meal with sweet choices like apple pies, blood-red strawberry-sauce-drizzled cheesecake, and brookies—the classic concoction of a cookie inside a brownie. It’s to die for.

As you dine in the dark rooms of the Monsters Cafe, scareactors await just around every corner to make you scream with fear, all while you enjoy dining on your bloody cheesecake.

Guests with the Scareactor Dining Experience pass are also given a digital download of one photo taken during the dining experience as part of the package.

The Scareactor Dining Experience is also probably the best place to be before your night of terror begins, as you’ll also be among the first inside the park as the gates open for Halloween Horror Nights.

As you make your descent towards the ghastly haunted houses, you must pass through several hair-raising scare zones. You never know just who—or what—is creeping up beside you while you walk the dark streets

Specialty Beverages

For those 21 and up, stock up on liquid courage (or fear) before you venture deeper into shadow and darkness.

Every year, there are new signature drinks themed to the event. Keep an eye out for what will be served up this year! These signature drinks are available in select locations.

Pizza Fries

A few signature Halloween Horror Nights dishes to try are the Pizza Fries and Twisted Taters. Walk through the haunted forest of Central Park and you’ll be rewarded for your courage at the KidZone Pizza Company.

Here, you can find glorious Pizza Fries: a mountainous French fry dish topped with tangy tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni and sausage, baked like a pizza—a must try for Halloween Horror Nights.

Twisted Taters

This isn’t your everyday potato chip – but a twisted version of the potato dish deftly twirled around a stick and fried. Flavored seasonings for the Twisted Taters include Sour Cream & Chive, Garlic Butter, Seasoned Salt or Salt & Vinegar.

These foods should last you through the night as you make your way along the murky, dimly-lit path towards the haunted houses and into the land of terrifying nightmares. You’ll be hungry for more soon enough.

So eat up, scream to your hearts content, and hold your loved ones close—no one is coming to save you at Halloween Horror Nights.

The food was absolute trash this year. I used to look forward to the HHN food, but this year was genuinely awful.
