A Social Soiree at Mardi Gras

A Social Soiree during Universal Mardi Gras wouldn’t be complete without 26 fans who joined us from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for our most recent Social Media Meet-Up! To kick off the party, this krewe learned how to decorate a King Cake, thanks to the Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort chefs! One lucky group discovered a Mardi Gras tradition, a hidden “baby,” and was awarded a two-night stay at this retro-themed resort.

The surprise didn’t end there. The in-park experience was just beginning and it wouldn’t be an American dream without a special visit from MKTO!

Social SoireeA few selfies later, it was officially time to be a part of the dazzling Mardi Gras parade – as a float rider! Adorned in their costumes this krewe had a good time tossing handfuls beads to excited fans.

You can’t have a great party without great music! To close out the evening, a special viewing of the MKTO concert made this one of the highlights of the night.

I went to the soiree, it was fun! My favorite moments were getting a selfie with Malcolm and Tony & riding on the float. The King Cake was delicious, loved it. Thank you so much Universal for the opportunity!
