To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 to Oct. 15), we’ve created a series of videos to honor one of the family’s most valuable members: abuelita.

Grandmas are at the center of any Hispanic family. They encourage you to follow your dreams and to take risks, they always have food ready, and they protect you from the chancla—even when you know you deserve it.

Coming to the theme parks is always best with grandma. She’ll encourage you to ride your first coaster, and sometimes surprise you by riding a really big coaster herself.

Over the next three weeks, we’ll feature a different grandma and grandkid riding an amazing attraction together here at Universal Orlando Resort.

Check out the first video as they ride away in Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster

Make sure to check back every week for a new video.

The Islas Family (Tucson, AZ) is bringing our 87 year old Nana to Universal on 10/13! Three generations of mothers and daughters and you can bet Nana will run laps around us! This is a great celebration Ana, thank you for sharing it in such a thoughtful way!
