Let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter how old you are, we ALL want to launch foam balls out of guns at our friends. And guess what, you can at Universal Orlando Resort. I know what you’re thinking, “I’ve been to Universal 100 times and I’ve never seen The Ball Factory.”

I hear ya. I didn’t know it existed either, and I work here.

Michelle and I have been venturing out into the park to bring you Universal’s best kept secrets. Last month, I got to conquer my fear of heights. Read all about the Rock Climbing Walls here. This month, we accidentally wandered past the Curious George’s play area (literally, we were taking a short cut during our Mardi Gras 2015 Intern video and found it). The play area is a great place for kids (and kids at heart) to splash around and cool off.

Located inside Universal Studios directly behind Curious George Goes to Town play area is the Ball Factory. Here, you can throw, blast and launch thousands of foam balls at family and friends – and anyone else within reach.  This two-story factory consists of auto blasters, slides, soft foam balls and YOU!

Michelle and I decided to check it out and have some friendly competition. However, when we arrived, we were immediately bombarded by foam balls from above. To our surprise, it was not by children, but 3 grown men, laughing and acting like 10 year olds. The only appropriate reaction was – retaliation!

After a few minutes of ducking and dodging, we were clearly the winners. Nice try, fellas.

Be warned, you will get hit!

I first learned about this place, when standing in line for a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights.
That whole area is just way out of the way at Universal.

This sounds like a lot of fun! I’ve been reading up a ton about Universal but no one has mentioned this little secret yet. My kids are older (12 and 14 but we all love a good playground still so we’ll be sure to hit this spot when we come in a couple of weeks!
