Tickets for Rock the Universe 2018 On Sale Now

Rock the Universe has been held at Universal Orlando Resort since 1998, and I’m proud to say this was my 10th year in attendance. And if you haven’t heard, Rock the Universe is moving its dates from September to February and tickets are on sale now!

This weekend of inspirational concerts holds a special place in my heart—and not just because there are tons of awesome Christian artists, exciting rides and entertainment. It’s because my birthday is in September, which used to be right around the time of this event! When I was younger, my parents let me take off school, we’d hop in the car, drive down from Jacksonville, and we’d spend the whole weekend at the theme parks—every kid’s dream!

Concerts at Rock the Universe

Since then, I’ve grown up and have actually moved to Orlando. But I still love worshiping at Rock the Universe and screaming at the top of my lungs on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit with my family. For a while, it doesn’t quite feel like you’re in a theme park. It feels like a Sunday morning or (depending on which concert you go to) being at youth camp again. You see the same people every Sunday at church, but here you get to worship with people from around the world.

Check out a few tips and tricks I’ve learned as a 10-year veteran of Rock the Universe.

The Concerts

Rock the Universe Concerts

There are several stages spread throughout the parks, so make sure you plan ahead and check your map to see where your favorite bands are playing.

The Coca-Cola Fan Zone

Coca-Cola Fan Zone at Rock the Universe

There’s a live DJ, dancing and autograph sessions with your favorite artists. This is a great place to check out the up-and-coming Christian artists and dance with your friends.

Youth Leaders Lounge

Youth Leader Lounge at Rock the Universe

Youth group leaders enjoy special perks, such as one free ticket for every 10 purchased and exclusive access to chaperone lounges stocked with snacks and refreshments.

The Rides

Revenge of the Mummy - Universal Studios Florida

Most rides are open throughout the event, so in-between concerts you can have a thrilling theme park experience!

Saturday Candlelighting Ceremony

Join together Saturday evening at the Music Plaza Stage with a special message and live music from one of the headlining acts.

Sunday Morning Worship Service

Wrap up the weekend Sunday morning with a worship service. This event is already included with your event ticket – but space is limited, so be sure to sign up in advance.

As I mentioned, Rock the Universe 2019 has moved to Feb. 1 and 2. Here is the full list of headlining artists for next year:

Friday, Feb. 1

  • Lecrae
  • Matthew West
  • Big Daddy Weave
  • Colton Dixon
  • Matt Mahar
  • Rhett Walker Band

Saturday, Feb. 2

  • Skillet
  • Bethel Music
  • Crowder
  • Francesca Battistelli
  • Micah Tyler
  • LEDGER

Now that Rock the Universe is in February, it will be cooler than ever. Tickets are on sale now, so don’t miss your chance to be a part of Florida’s biggest Christian music festival. I’ll see you in February!

I was a bit confused when I found out that none of the artists from last year were preforming, especially Casting Crowns. They were amazing. The candelight ceremony was fantastic! please bring them back next year,

Why is there an additional charge for this event if you’re an annual passholder but none for the summer concerts?

Hi Jess, Rock the Universe is a seperately ticketed event and therefore is not included in park admission. However, we currently have a promotion for discounted tickets for our Annual Passholders, which can be found on our website.
