I am still hoping that annual passholders may have some type of special viewing access. Are there any plans, with the time drawing so close? We are such avid die hard Universal and HP fans.

    Looking forward to this!
Do you know if the webcasts will remain available after the event for viewing next day?
If so, could you let us know how, as we’d love to let our UK fans in particular get a chance to watch this.
    Thank you so much.

We’ll have the webcasts up, in their entirety, on our YouTube channel as soon as possible! Subscribe to YouTube.com/UniversalOrlando to be notified.

        Thanks Doug.
Has there ever been such a fun time to be in Orlando?
This here new area is going to create a LOT of excitement!

Are you planning on announcing the grand opening date at the last minute so people don’t have time to take off work? That’s one way to handle crowd control, I suppose, but not a good way to keep fans happy. If you do that, the only people who will be able to attend will be local people. The rest of us should matter too. That’s just my opinion.

Just as I have said on your twitter, it is cruel of Universal Orlando to treat their loyal fans and followers like this. You have held the grand opening date hostage while we all wait with nervous anticipation. We follow every post, every blog, every website devoted to this in the hopes of receiving the news. For those of us with full time jobs you are making it totally impossible to attend. I personally have to give at minimum two weeks lead time for time off and then am only granted it if someone else hasn’t already scheduled that time off. I cannot go to my employers and ask for three – five days off five days before I am to leave. You are making those of us from out of state extremely nervous and anxious that we won’t be able to attend due to your tactics here. If there is a problem and delay of the grand opening you could at the very least update the general public. You are guaranteeing Diagon Alley access to those package holders on June 29th. It would be nice to know if there will be a grand opening prior to this happening or if you are foregoing a grand opening and just selling this package instead. The opening of Hogsmeade was a huge failure in that the general public was allowed to come in ahead of those of us that actually spent $800 on a package. We were in Jurassic Park when the actual opening took place behind hundreds of non package holding people. Make up your minds please UO and let your patrons know what to plan before it is too late for us to plan at all.

Samantha, Susan and all else asking about a Grand Opening date: I assure you we aren’t “holding it hostage” or trying to be cruel to our dedicated fans. We value and cherish the affection you have for our parks, and we want you to experience it just as badly as you want to.

Ok, you super fans may want it a bit more. :)

If you were there for the Hogsmeade opening, you saw the immense crowds. We learned from that and want to ensure we can provide the highest quality experience possible on the very first day. I assure you there was not a date picked out a year ago that we have been secreting away to drive demand.

To paraphrase the old Paul Masson ads, “We will announce no opening before its time”. Wow, that really isn’t as cool when it doesn’t rhyme, is it? I ask for a little more patience, because when you do finally get to come, I assure you it will be well worth the wait.

Thank you for your loyalty and excitement around The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. Without fans like you, none of this would be possible!

I hope you are able to enter Diagon Alley without a package though as we booked our stay in the Hard Rock Hotel about 8 months ago now and are paying just as much if not more than the package holders so PLEASE do not let them enter and NOT US as you will be inundated with unhappy guests. We arrive next week so are praying that this thing finally opens.

Is the event Friday at 12 PM or 3 PM?

We’re taking our grandson to Orlando.06/28 – 07/05 in hopes that Diagonal Alley was going to be open…we are so so disappointed. He was so excited to find out we were taking him and now I don’t have the heart to tell him. He’s only 8 yrs old. Is there any chance I wonder and hope they will let the general public in before July 8th? Where can I find out?
