Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando Resort Begins This Weekend
While Mardi Gras normally lasts only two weeks in New Orleans, here at Universal Orlando Resort we celebrate for a total of 50 dazzling nights.
From Feb. 4 to March 25, we invite kings and queens (and jokers) of all ages to Florida’s biggest party.
On 12 select nights, headliners ranging from Fifth Harmony to NE-YO will perform on our Music Plaza stage in Universal Studios Florida. Whether you’re a fan of R&B, country or pop, you won’t want to miss these big name artists:
- Saturday, February 4 – Trace Adkins
- Saturday, February 11 – NE-YO
- Saturday, February 18 – Collective Soul
- Sunday, February 19 – X Ambassadors
- Saturday, February 25 – Fifth Harmony
- Saturday, March 4 – Yandel
- Sunday, March 5 – Olivia Newton-John
- Saturday, March 11 – UB40
- Sunday, March 12 – Toby Keith
- Saturday, March 18 – Jason Derulo
- Sunday, March 19 – Earth, Wind & Fire
- Saturday, March 25 – The All-American Rejects
On every night, our extravagant Mardi Gras parade will have you singing and dancing with the whole family. Beads and doubloons (colorful coins) will be up for grabs by the hundreds as our many festive floats glide through the streets of Universal Studios Florida.
Our floats are decorated by none other than Kern Studios from New Orleans, who have been bringing to life these authentic creations for over 60 years. Be on the lookout for six new floats that will be making their grand debut this year.
If you’ve got young kids, be sure to check out our Little Jester’s Parade viewing area in front of the Brown Derby Hat Shop. It’s a VIP spot just for your little ones.
While you’re not catching beads, wander the streets of our French Quarter Courtyard, where you’ll find everything from Cajun cuisine to live bands direct from New Orleans. Don’t forget to grab a beignet (or two) for dessert while you’re there!
After celebrating with us in Universal Studios, head out to Universal CityWalk for an entire night of New Orleans themed fun (some venues are 21+, cover charge may apply).
We’re ready for the biggest Carnival of the year – now all we need is you!
*Blockout dates apply for Seasonal Passholders on all concert event nights at Universal Studios Florida. You will still receive access to Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
