Choosing from the more than 100 incredible beers at Universal CityWalk’s NBC Sports Grill & Brew can be a daunting task. To help me get started, I reached out to two of their certified Beer Servers—Ashley and Rob—to help me pick the perfect 6-pack.

While they were hard pressed to limit their choices to only six, here are their personal recommendations:

Ashley’s Perfect 6-Pack

1. BELLS TWO HEARTED ALE – One of my favorite IPA’s. It contains a great balance of hops and malt body, with a crisp finish.
Recommended Food Pairing: Hot Buffalo Fire Grilled Wings

2. FREDDIE’S SCANDANAVIAN STYLE BLONDE ALE – Smooth tasting local beer. Clean finish, light bitterness, subtle fruity aroma.
Recommended Food Pairing: Chicken Nachos

3. BRECKENRIDGE VANILLA PORTER – This beer is a very session-able porter and has a sweet hint of vanilla. Don’t be fooled by its color, it’s not a heavy beer to drink at all.
Recommended Food Pairing: Steak and Bleu Cheese Flatbread

4. CHOCOLATE RAZZLE – For those guests who want something sweet, I direct them right to our Chocolate Razzle. This fusion is our Young’s Double Chocolate Stout layered on top of the Lindeman’s Framboise (a raspberry fruit beer).
Recommended Food Pairing: Skip dinner and go straight to this as your dessert.

5. ORANGE BLOSSOM PILSNER – This beer is made with real orange blossom honey, but it’s not sweet. And it’s made locally.
Recommended Food Pairing: Char-Grilled Chicken Sandwich (with tots, of course)

6. KONA BIG WAVE – Served in a bottle and poured into a glass so the guest can experience the tropical hoppy aromas that go along with this Hawaiian golden ale.
Recommended Food Pairing: Chicken Nachos…which pretty much go with anything, in my opinion!

Rob’s Perfect 6-Pack

1. FREDDIE’S SCANDANAVIAN STYLE BLONDE ALE – It’s light, refreshing, and sessionable. I’m a golfer, it’s a golf beer. End of story.
Recommended Food Pairing: Wisconsin Cheese Curds

2. 862 SEASONAL – I really like our 862 seasonal, especially the fall one we had this year. It’s really smooth and has a great smoky, roasted malt taste. Plus, you can only get this at NBC Sports Grill and Brew!
Recommended Food Pairing: Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich

3. LEFFE BLONDE – The Leffe Blonde is a great beer. It’s has a very fruity aroma, but it has a crisp tasting finish.
Recommended Food Pairing: Caribbean Grouper

4. OCEAN TROPICAL PINEAPPLE CIDER – Very refreshing, crisp.  Makes me want to go out and mow the lawn. It’s very highly carbonated and tastes kind of like a pineapple soda, but has the same alcohol as most of our other beers. And it’s another local beer.
Recommended Food Pairing: Large Warm Soft Pretzel

5. SWAMP HEAD WILD NIGHT – This is a cream ale (but that doesn’t mean it’s made with cream). It’s an American-style craft beer that has low bittering hops and is well carbonated. Gator fans love it because it’s made in Gainesville, FL.
Recommended Food Pairing: Wisconsin Burger

6. LUCKY BUDDAH – Not only is this the coolest looking bottled beer we carry, it’s great tasting too. High in carbonation, with a very crisp finish. It’s an Asian-style lager that you’ll tell your friends about.
Recommended Food Pairing: Chicken Nachos
